Hebrew: לכו נרננה (Let Us Rejoice). Circle dance by Shmulik Gov-Ari, 1983.

The original name of the song is Shir Shabbat. In it, the narrator describes the celebration of Shabbat in his family. The chorus simply names four Shabbat songs that would always be sung: Lechu Neranena, Dror Yikra, Tzur Mishelo Achalnu, and Sar HaMemunah.

Choreographic note: The correct rhythm in the first (Rona-like) sequence of Part 2 has generally been lost. Most dancers now do both pieces of the sequence in the rhythm 1-2-3-hold. That is, they start Part 2 with R-L-R-hold sliding right, then L-R-L-hold with L crossing first behind R then in front. But this is not the original rhythm. As described in the published notes (and as taught by Shmulik) the second measure here is in rhythm L-hold-R-L, that is, the pause is on the second rather than the fourth beat. (It is tempting to apply this rhythm also to the L-R-L at the end of Part 2, but that goes too far; at that point the correct rhythm is in fact L-R-L-hold.)

Page 1 of the notes (from the Hora Shalom 1986 syllabus); the problematic sequence is described in counts 3 and 4 of Part 2.
